My Husband, My brother in Christ

I especially enjoy writing about Biblical Womanhood as well as the application of Biblical theology from the perspective of a woman longing to communicate my love for who God is as revealed in His Word of knowable and applicable truth and NOT who I imagine He is from some sentimental, me-centered perspective that is based on relative, roller-coaster ride of self-sustained religion 'truth'. In other words, I like to encourage others to press on in His truth and His love for His glory.

But then, everything I have written has likely been said a whole lot better by someone else. I definitely have no insight that is deeper than what God has already revealed. Therefore, if you find anything of value here than give God the glory!

I Surrender

My Heavenly Father, as I start my day,
May I voice Your truth, Your grace, Your mercy.
May my actions reflect my love for you.
May I acknowledge You over all
that will be spoken, thought, decided, and accomplished
within my home and wherever I go.
May I give you glory and honor in all that I do.
May even my smallest accomplishments
bring You glory.
Lord, when I am confused, guide me.
When I am weary, strengthen me.
When I am in sin ...
convict me and cause me to repent.
When I am burned out, bring to mind Your eternal perspective.
May the work that I do and the way I do it
bring faith, joy, and even a smile
to all that I come in contact with.
May all that I do reflect You.
And oh Lord, I thank you for everything You've done,
everything You're doing, and everything You're going to do...
Even if it is a necessary trial to draw me closer to You.
And may I continually fear offending You, my Holy God.

Below is a video testimony about how God saved our marriage after an 18 month separation, 5 years into our marriage. We had 2 children when we separated. We now have 6 children and have been married for... well, OH so much longer!!!... by the grace of our faithful Heavenly Father.
