My Husband, My brother in Christ

I especially enjoy writing about Biblical Womanhood as well as the application of Biblical theology from the perspective of a woman longing to communicate my love for who God is as revealed in His Word of knowable and applicable truth and NOT who I imagine He is from some sentimental, me-centered perspective that is based on relative, roller-coaster ride of self-sustained religion 'truth'. In other words, I like to encourage others to press on in His truth and His love for His glory.

But then, everything I have written has likely been said a whole lot better by someone else. I definitely have no insight that is deeper than what God has already revealed. Therefore, if you find anything of value here than give God the glory!

I AM, I SAID, I WANT...

This is something that looked fun from Kim...

I AM: adopted into the Kingdom of God, by grace, through faith.

I SAID: I would never have more than 1 or 2 children (I have 6).

I WANT: To glorify God no matter what the circumstance.

I WISH: I was an apple hanging on a tree... (that is only one of 2 songs I can remember my mother singing to me before she left. The other was "A monkey, he got drunk...")

I HATE: it when I fail to give God glory.

I MISS: being able to do a back flip.

I FEAR: my children growing up, not knowing and living for and abiding in Christ to the end.

I HEAR: my youngest daughter humming, my twin boys giggling, my oldest daughter coughing...

I WONDER: what it is like to sky jump.

I REGRET: that I do not live every moment as though there will be no tomorrow.

I DANCE: like a crazy fool.

I SING: only in front of family.

I CRY: once a month... and when I sense the MS flaring... and when I hear my children recite Scripture... or when a friend is hurting.

I AM NOT ALWAYS: fun to be around... just ask my husband.

I MADE: a really cool deco-pouge world map onto a dining table top with my older sons that was not only fun and messy, but full of memories.

I WRITE: because if I don't I will explode!

I CONFUSE: my husband.

I NEED: ... Thee Every Hour. (One of my favorite hymns... Indelible Grace version, especially)

I SHOULD: love to do laundry and dishes for the glory of God...

I START: every day in God's Word...

I FINISH: every day by thanking God for the day... (maybe this one should go under "I WISH...")

I BELIEVE: God is sovereign and wants the best for me... especially in times of affliction.

I KNOW: That my husband loves me. (see my marriage testimony.)

I CAN: eat an entire jar of jalepeno peppers.

I CAN'T: comprehend why God would bless me so abundantly.

I SEE: through a glass dimly.

I BLOG: Because I have an insatiable appetite to write... especially about my Lord and what He is teaching me.

I READ: Every day.

I FIND: my cell phone 3 to 4 weeks later in the place I forgot I left it.

I LIKE: to laugh... especially at myself.

I LOVE: to be with my family.

Below is a video testimony about how God saved our marriage after an 18 month separation, 5 years into our marriage. We had 2 children when we separated. We now have 6 children and have been married for... well, OH so much longer!!!... by the grace of our faithful Heavenly Father.
