Some Questions and other tests...
I found this at Kim's site and thought I'd try it.
What is your favorite word? Just one?
Indelible (I like saying it and the fact that it reminds me that no matter what, my name is written indelibly in the Book of Life)
What is your least favorite word?
Too many curse words to list... and yet, I can't even imagine typing them in. Frank Turk recently posted one on his site that makes me cringe. However, he has been genuinely repentant of it and it has been refreshing to witness. Actually more so... anything that takes God's name in vain brings waves of nauseau. It is so sadly common that I find myself politely pleading for people to refrain from such things, especially around my children. Such words use to role off of my tongue as often as I would say "hello" to someone.
What turns you on creatively, spiritually or emotionally?
Creatively and Spiritually? Early morning study of God's Word while propping my feet up, sitting on the deck and watching the sun rise.
Emotionally? Listening to my children recite Scripture or hug and take care of each other.
What turns you off?
Going to the store and watching how people treat their children.
What sound or noise do you love?
Birds chirping in the early morning as I read my Bible.
What sound or noise do you hate?
Nails on a chalkboard or the sound of my voice yelling.
What profession other than your own would you like to attempt?
Writer
What profession would you NOT like to do?
Be a woman preacher (grin)

I think I match up pretty well with all of your choices except for that woman preacher thing. ;-)

"What sound or noise do you love?
Birds chirping in the early morning as I read my Bible."
Except when they are in your house.

"What is your favorite word? Just one?

It's so providential that you said this lisa. As was reading Luke this morning, chapter 10 in particular, I came across the portion where the 70 that were sent out had just come back to Jesus and were reveling in the fact that demons were subject to them. To them Jesus said this:
The seventy returned with joy, saying, "Lord, even the demons are subject to us in Your name." And He said to them, "I was watching Satan fall from heaven like lightning.Behold, I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing will injure you. Nevertheless do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rejoice that your names are recorded in heaven." Luke 10:17-20
More than any earthly victories and or powers we can have through Jesus, our salvation is more important.
I cannot help but think of you, dear Lisa. Though you struggle with your MS and various other trials, and though you seemingly have great victories through Christ they are nothing when compared with the victory won by our Savior, enabling your name to be indelibly written on his hand. Nothing compares to the glory God achieved in and through our eternaly secure salvation!

Thank you Roadkill. I so love to be pointed to God's Word during times of trial. That is what brings me the most comfort.
Re: birds in my house... Roadkill goes to my church. We have the church over for Bible study fellowship on Thursday nights. I always look forward to having my church family in my home. One night someone opened the door and a bird flew in. We have high ceilings... We had an interesting time trying to get this bird out of the house. I found the most humour in watching one of the Elders of our church... He seemed to be having a grand time with that bird.
:-)
What finally got the bird out, and to her nest full of young ones, was turning all of the lights out in the house and leaving the outside light on.
Makes me think of what I must do during times of trial. Turn all the inside lights of me off, and focus on the light of Christ to lead me.

"Turn all the inside lights of me off, and focus on the light of Christ to lead me."
Kind of a lame example... considering any light that I might project at all would be from Christ.
