I work with people I love...
... and I LOVE to be around the people I work with. I have the BEST full-time job around. I am surrounded by people who want to... who try their best to please me. I get rewarded several times a day... bonuses that go beyond your imagination.
For I am a wife and mother.
I am, by the grace of God, honored to take part in raising up these precious gifts under the leadership of my God-fearing husband, the authority of the Word of God, and under the ultimate headship of Christ... what a joy to partake in contributing to their lives by sharing the love of Christ with them.
And my bonuses are simple pleasures like chocolate covered kisses from the mouth of my 3 year old smeared onto my cheek.
It is a HIGH CALLING... this God-ordained vocation. And though I have degrees in this and that and knowledge that could land me a nice paying, worldly career outside my home, I wouldn't trade those chocolate covered kisses for the world.

Chelle was really concerned about quiting her teaching position when Brendan was born. She had been doing it for 10 years and those HS kids were like our kids.
We haven't looked back since. And I've been fortunate to have been able to work from home for the past several years, too.
While I can do without chocolate on my face, I love the kisses from my son and the "Daddy... I love you Daddy" I get 10 times a day or more.

Another great thing to look forward to when you have your kids at home with you is teenagerhood. While so many of the "other schooled" children have attitudes and would not be caught dead with Mom and/or Dad, the ones who have spent lots of time with their family are able to communicate with them and other adults with ease. Our kids talk to us about everything and just about all the time! Our 17 year old son told me the other day that the boys he plays basketball with at the Y are always complaining about their moms. He seemed very puzzled over why they were so unhappy at home. It was such a delight for me to realize that his puzzlement meant he didn't have much to add to the complaints. I told him he was welcome to bring any of those boys home if he wanted. ;-)

Yes, our kids actually like to be with us. They have no idea that they are not supposed to.
