A Man of God
It is my husband's birthday today. I am blessed to be married to a man of his word who seeks to honor the Lord in his life. I love him, and respect him as my husband, the father of my children, and as the spiritual leader of our home... He is truly God's servant for God's glory.
Thank you Lord for the abundant blessing of a Godly husband.
This is also the day, 2 years ago, that I came home and said "Happy birthday, Honey" after picking up the twins that we adopted. I use to be their Great Aunt. But I am honored to be called "Mommy." Thank you, Lord.

Well, my goodness - today is my son's birthday, too! :) He is 17, and it's hard to believe that he is!
July birthdays are abundant - mine is on Tuesday, and I have several friends who are July babies also.
Wish that hubby of yours a very Happy Birthday!!

Thank you, Gayla. Happy July birthdays to both you and your son.
In our family, 12 birthdays are celebrated between October and December. Six of which are in our immediate family.

Lisa,
How many have you adopted? I have adopted several teenagers. Also, I have 4 birthdays in July:) girls: 20yrs., 25yrs.,14yrs. Boy: 21yrs. I have found that July is a big month for birthdays for a lot of people!
I appreciate your vulnerability regarding your grief. My church just split and my best friend (Pastors wife) is leaving for another state:( We are now looking for a new church. I not only feel hurt...I feel lost.
God bless you for all that you share. I needed to read this blog today.

I am so sorry to hear that Diana. We know the depth of grief you feel. The Lord is always faithful and does work these things out for our good and through times like this, that is the truth we must cling to.
We have only adopted the twins so far. We are praying about adopting more. You need to click over to Sheshe's site on my right sidebar under "Women I Respect." They have 11 children... actually 12, if you count the niece that is living there. 3 of their children are biological. Only one is NOT a teenager.
We share the pain of the church to others for several reasons. One of which is to show that sin affects not only the person sinning, but those around them. Another is to show the benefits of church discipline even though it is immensely painful. Some of those include the need for all of us to examine our faith and also display the need for discipleship and accountability, fervent prayer for one another, the need to keep the church pure, the goal to bring glory to God in all things, etc.
I appreciate your comments here.
His servant for His glory,
Lisa
