Because you asked...
It looks as though I have gone into remission with the multiple sclerosis.
I only have a few minor things hanging around that weren't there before. Such is the course of relapsing/ remitting MS. With each exacerbation, something sticks. However, I am very thankful that I do not have to use a cane anymore.
I was on the phone recently with a friend who found out she had MS 25 years ago. For 12 years she had relapsing/ remitting and then it turned into progressive. I can hear in her voice the severe slurred speach that can occurr with MS... but I also hear in that voice, a heart full of joy, bringing praises to the Lord in spite of the aggressive stage of MS that she is in.
I was diagnosed about 7 years ago. I have an appointment with the neurologist in a couple of weeks. She is going to compare the MRI from 1999 with the MRI done a few months ago. We will take a more aggressive course of action because we do see progression in the exacerbations. In other words, back to giving myself injections.
Psalm 139:14 "I will give thanks to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Wonderful are Your works,And my soul knows it very well."

Lisa,
It is good to hear that it is in remission and I will continue to pray for you regarding these remaining symptoms. Praise God you do not need your cane any longer, though you may still want to carry it for I'm sure it will give certain individuals pause before being critical in your presence.
I'll also pray for your upcoming trip to the neurologist.
Take care,
Mike
