Weekend Whatever: Two Humbling Videos
This is a video of my daughter. She's 3 and the youngest of our 6 children. She snuck into our home library with one of her older brothers and got ahold of one of my guitars... She's singing "Humble Thyself in the Sight of the Lord."
This next video is another "Humble Thyself" Video... It's a tough one to watch. Because America has soldiers out there fighting for our freedom, my daughter has the liberty to sing her little heart out about God.
Now consider going to this site to watch a slide show.

My Husband, My brother in Christ

Cute, but I think the guitar is bigger than her. :-)

Your daughter was so cute in that video!
The other video was a tough one as you said. My daughter was sick Sunday morning, and I was watching Fox News when they said a soldier was killed in a roadside bombing. It turns out that he was from my city.

Very nice....just adorable. You know, adult sized guitars dwarf me as well. ;-)
Okay, not to the extreme of your little girl, but the width of the neck of a full-size guitar is the main reason I opted for a bass guitar when I was in my late teens--I could actually get my hands around the neck far enough to be able to reach all the frets and all four strings. :-) (That is, until the five and six string basses started popping up all over). Sigh......

Lisa,
She's just gorgeous! I'll bet that you love listening to her singing!

Hi Clarence... it is always good to hear from you. I have known you for over 20 years now... time flies.
Mike R... the guitar is definitley bigger than she is. :-)
Lynn... war is always hard. Our neighborhood is off of a street that is nicknamed church row because it has church after church after church. This one church especially puts up Biblically unsound or off the mark little quotes on their sign. For a month now I have read this one sign that says "War is not the road to peace." But I have to beg to differ. Oftentimes it has proven to be the only way to peace. For one thing, look how often in the Scriptures the Lord used war to accomplish His purposes. And ultimatley what brings perfect peace as revealed in Revelation? The war of all wars. My dad was in the military for almost 25 years... I have alot of respect for those who fight for our country so that, for example, my daughter can sit in our library and peacefully sing "Humble Thyself"... and so that we can have the freedom to worship the Lord. It is always difficult to hear of or know a soldier that layed down his life for our country.
Littlegal, I bet you look adorable playing a guitar!!! I feel like a little girl behind my 12 string. :-)
Wilm, she turns everything into a song. And what's funny is that she is my most shy child. But when she sings, that girl just rips. You should see her when she isn't hidden behind a guitar! All of my children like to sing... well, the older boys maybe not so much anymore. But there's nothing like listening to my children sing "Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord God Almighty..."
Thanks for your comments. I pray you all have a blessed day with ample opportunities to share the hope that is within you... and if you do not have such a hope, I pray the Lord draws you to Himself and gives you that peace that passes all understanding!!!

That was too sweet. I look forward to watching her grow in grace and beauty and seeing a "concert" in a couple years :>

Lisa, I agree with what you said about war. I'm a former Navy brat, as people used to call me. I'm so proud of our military, and thank them all. They make many sacrifices in their fight for our freedoms. I could never thank them enough.

Thank you- we all need to be reminded about the cost of freedom and how blessed we are to have men and women willing to pay the ultimate price for us so we may freely sing to the Lord--- it definitely fits your daughters debut song.
(I sure do hope that cuteness gene comes from the Nunley blood line.)

Hey Sara... you know how shy Rachael can be... you see her at church. It would be a miracle to get her up on a stage. But then I thought i would never be a public speaker. :-)
Lynn, Yes, Amen.
Bob, Would that be because your son is married to a Nunley? Haven't you seen your daughter-in-laws baby pics? She's was a doll! Still is!

Aww... she's a cutie Lisa :)
I gave in a couple years back and bought Brendan a children's sized electric to fit him. Now all I have to do is resume teaching him. ;)
