My Husband, My brother in Christ

I especially enjoy writing about Biblical Womanhood as well as the application of Biblical theology from the perspective of a woman longing to communicate my love for who God is as revealed in His Word of knowable and applicable truth and NOT who I imagine He is from some sentimental, me-centered perspective that is based on relative, roller-coaster ride of self-sustained religion 'truth'. In other words, I like to encourage others to press on in His truth and His love for His glory.

But then, everything I have written has likely been said a whole lot better by someone else. I definitely have no insight that is deeper than what God has already revealed. Therefore, if you find anything of value here than give God the glory!

Bebo Boys 2006

My oldest son is fixing to turn 13. He decided he wanted to take a few of his friends and his brother to a Bebo Norman concert last night. It was in Springdale and I ended up running into people I went to college with. One of them was a guy that helped put this concert together who set it up for Josh to meet Bebo with his friends (that is what the video is about)
Our family loves the Compassion International ministry and Bebo is a big advocate of this ministry so we also volunteered at the Compassion table. All the boys helped out and did a great job passing out info. I found out the woman working for Compassion International was also a college friend. It was like a JBU reunion.
Over 40 people signed up last night to sponsor a child. Look on my right sidebar where it says "Sponsor a Child" under "Ministry Opportunities" and please consider doing the same. You will not only touch the life of a child, but it will touch your life as well. It will give you an opportunity to store up treasures in heaven that moth cannot destroy... and it will also give you an opportunity to live out what you proclaim to believe.
James 1:27 says "Pure and undefiled religion in the sight of our God and Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their distress, and to keep oneself unstained by the world."
Isaiah 1:17 says "Learn to do good; Seek justice, Reprove the ruthless, Defend the orphan, Plead for the widow."

So do it!!! ....Visit and defend these children in their distress by sponsoring them, writing to them... and you really can actually meet them face to face.

Below is a video testimony about how God saved our marriage after an 18 month separation, 5 years into our marriage. We had 2 children when we separated. We now have 6 children and have been married for... well, OH so much longer!!!... by the grace of our faithful Heavenly Father.
