My Husband, My brother in Christ

I especially enjoy writing about Biblical Womanhood as well as the application of Biblical theology from the perspective of a woman longing to communicate my love for who God is as revealed in His Word of knowable and applicable truth and NOT who I imagine He is from some sentimental, me-centered perspective that is based on relative, roller-coaster ride of self-sustained religion 'truth'. In other words, I like to encourage others to press on in His truth and His love for His glory.

But then, everything I have written has likely been said a whole lot better by someone else. I definitely have no insight that is deeper than what God has already revealed. Therefore, if you find anything of value here than give God the glory!

The Lord is Good (so good!!!)

The following Scripture was sent to me by a dear friend:

“The Lord is good to all, and His mercies are over all His works. All Your works shall give thanks to You, O Lord, and Your godly ones shall bless You. They shall speak of the glory of Your kingdom and talk of Your power; to make known to the sons of men Your mighty acts and the glory of the majesty of Your kingdom.” Psalm 145:9-12

In light of what we have been going through this week (stomache virus) and the mounds of additional laundry and the continual cleaning up of vomit, etc., etc., etc. I want to say that my God truly is good. He has, by His goodness, helped me to focus on His abundant mercy and perfect provisions. I got to fall deeper in love with my husband as I witnessed his servant heart in the midst of exhaustion. I got to witness my 2 older boys mirror their daddy. I got to hold my children alot and read tons of books to them. For those things I am so thankful. We are all a bit lethargic and I could still use your prayers. I held off taking my Rebif (MS) injection until last night, and woke up feeling quite ill again. But that is okay... because my Lord is good and He will carry me through this and I will just get to smell more of those roses my children pick for me.

Below is a video testimony about how God saved our marriage after an 18 month separation, 5 years into our marriage. We had 2 children when we separated. We now have 6 children and have been married for... well, OH so much longer!!!... by the grace of our faithful Heavenly Father.
