My Husband, My brother in Christ

I especially enjoy writing about Biblical Womanhood as well as the application of Biblical theology from the perspective of a woman longing to communicate my love for who God is as revealed in His Word of knowable and applicable truth and NOT who I imagine He is from some sentimental, me-centered perspective that is based on relative, roller-coaster ride of self-sustained religion 'truth'. In other words, I like to encourage others to press on in His truth and His love for His glory.

But then, everything I have written has likely been said a whole lot better by someone else. I definitely have no insight that is deeper than what God has already revealed. Therefore, if you find anything of value here than give God the glory!

I DON'T think so, Ladies!!!

So Carla and Kim and JoythruChrist are posting about their husbands and why they are married to the best husband ever. To that I say WHATEVER!!!! Why? Because mine takes the cake. Why? For starters he's my hero!!!

Here are a few other reasons:

He is a godly man with a high work ethic, a "man of good repute", and "respected in the gates".
He would walk 500 miles and he would walk 500 more just to be the man to walk 1000 miles (you know... just to be with me)

Beginning 13 years ago when our oldest son was born... who happened to be a screamer, he would get up to help me walk the babies in the middle of the night, change their diapers... help me clean up their vomit.

He is one of the smartest guys I know... and is very humble at the same time.

I have never heard him yell.

I am the only one he actually likes to talk to on the phone.

I cannot describe what a rock my husband has been for me since my diagnosis with MS. When I am down and out, in spite of his already hectic schedule, he will take on whatever needs to be done to help me out... without complaint. Like JoythruChrist said about her husband through a battle with her health, "[His] constant care and love was like the love of Jesus in my life."

He is INCREDIBLY handsome.

When I make dinner that is a flop, he eats it anyway without complaint. And when I ask his opinion on how to make it better, he is very gracious. (When we first got married he would say things like, "My mother doesn't cook it that way." ... so you see... he's teachable.)

He is a servant-leader and I have an immense amount of respect for him.

He is dependable.

He is quick to apologize if he has been a grump.

He gives the bestest hugs ever.

There is so much more, I could fill a book. But... well, I just love the guy and am so thankful for him. Even when he's a pill, I can't help but love him.
