The Purple Cellar
As I continue to prayerfully come to a conclusion under the guidance of my Godly husband as to whether or not I will continue to blog, I want to add to my list of excellent blogs that every woman should consider making a frequent visit to. The one called The Purple Cellar is such a blog.
Thank you for the abundant e-mails and the couple of comments concerning this time of discerning whether or not to continue blogging. Your words are both encouraging and thought provoking.

Lisa,
I do hope that you continue blogging (for selfish reasons, I admit!)- I really enjoy your blog and your posts often get me thinking. Your love for God really does shine through.

Lisa,
Somehow, (by the providence of God), my husband must have linked to your website a few weeks ago while reading and interacting on the teampyro blog. When I came to use the computer, "Questions For A Godly Wife" was on the screen. I don't know why--my husband doesn't normally "drop hints" like that. He would be direct and say, "Read this." Not sure whether he wanted me to or not, I became intrigued and then burdened to read it. I tried to, a couple of times, but I have three small children at home, and not many uninterrupted moments to study my Bible. It became apparent that reading it with Bible in hand would be necessary and most beneficial. And I finally copied and pasted it to a sticky note so I could really work through it. (I'm thinking of sending it to my Mom as well.) I appreciate the way you firmly ask the difficult questions without wavering, and with much Scripture.
I admit I haven't read every jot and tittle of your blog, but I did just read a link you recommended on blogging as worship. And that was a bit convicting. I am quite new as a blogger, and my original purpose for blogging is so that my children's grandparents and cousins can watch them grow from a long distance. (Mainly pictures and stories.) But honestly, I secretly enjoy the thrill of having someone post a comment, even if it's just my Mom adoring her grandkids. As I have been exposed more and more to blogging, my creative/expressive and lingual juices get flowing, and I become more and more motivated to write, but less and less motivated to do the dishes, fix dinner, fold laundry, etc.
So I don't know how someone who seems to have infinitely more on her plate than I can also manage to have a blog like yours. In my light exposure to life wading through the blogs, I don't know if my life can afford too much of it, especially as the dust bunnies multiply and the bottoms need to be wiped. I know I have and will appreciate "working through" the answers to "Questions for a Godly Wife," and I'm sure I will benefit from it. At the same time, I will pray for you as you honestly consider the cost. I don't know how people do it!
Sincerely,
M. Stevenson
