The World Revolves Around WHO?

Sadly, I need frequent reminders that this world does not revolve around me. It was created to revolve around God and His eternal purposes and plans. I exist for God... His pleasure, His glory, His sovereign will.
Did you know that God knows... He KNOWS the exact duration and intensity needed in every trial to conform us to the image of His Son? So shouldn't I look at trials as gifts?

Awww Lisa, that is so cute. And I am not a cat lover.
Thanks for the reminder that it's NOT about us, but about God.

It's so much easier to see trials as gifts when you're not in them! A great reminder to get the focus right NOW!

Hey Diane,
I am more into dogs. Cats? Not so much. But this pic really depicted the whole "trial as a gift" reaction that I can have sometimes. Why? Because Ukrainiac is exactly right!!!! It really is much easier to see trials as gifts when you are not in them.
Praise God that HE is strong when I am OH SO WEAK.

Indeed, we should look at trials that way. I was recently reading in John about when Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead and I was struck by what He said. He told them that Lazarus's illness was not unto death, but that the Son of God might be glorified. Lisa, isn't that where you and I are right now? Our illnesses are not "fatal" according to man's definition, but we can use them to glorify the Son of God! What is a bit of our own discomfort when we can use it to help others with their own pain or to show the Light of Jesus that shines in our lives?
Carry on, dear friend. Carry on.

So, whenever you find yourself reaching your limit with whatever it is, just put a little "bow" on it and give thanks to God! :)

Lisa, it is....and it's easier to give advice to others when you aren't going through it yourself.
