My Husband, My brother in Christ

Thanks for the chance to win this CD. It sounds wonderful. I love music so much; I find it hard to pick just three favorites as they change from day to day. It's a good thing you didn't say more than that. LOL
My current, at-this-minate favorite 3 hymns/spiritual songs are:
1. Whate’er My God Ordains is Right(Words: Samuel Rodigast. Music: David Braud) The words to this song are most comforting as I consider the soveriegn all wise plan God has for my life particular as I go through trials such as the recent loss of my sister.
2. How Great Thou Art- I have always loved this one, whenever this song is sung or played, I can't help but sing praises to God while consider his many attributes.
3. Redeemer by Nicole C. Mullen- My redeemer lives! Both the words and tune are moving, it causes my to contemplate the power of the resurrection.

What fun!
1) I Sought the Lord - I first heard this back in the 80's as I was beginning to understand and embrace a more God-centered theology. It described and corrected my (wrong) thoughts and personal experience perfectly.
2) How Deep the Father's Love - I can't help but cry when I hear/sing this one. A dear friend also used the music to this hymn to write a song for us when we first found out we were about to meet our soon-to-be daughters half-way around the world.
3) And Can It Be - another one that is rich in sound theology and always helps me keep a Biblical perspective of my salvation!
Thanks for the invitation to "play"!

1. Be Thou My Vision
2. How Deep the Father's Love
3. Crown Him With Many Crowns
By the way, I've tagged you for a meme - no pressure, just play if you want to!

Umm, hard to narrow it down to just three...but here it goes...
1. In Christ Alone-I like how the melody chorus strikes just right with the words.
2. In thy People Assembling-I hope I got this title right, but this reminds me of the LORD's call that no matter how busy life gets, do need to be with the saints. The important thing to remember is never to neglect the gathering of the saints.
3. Halleluia-this is actually a Christmas time song that I truely enjoy listening to because the fact that Jesus came to this world not to condemn it but to save it.
In His Love,
Julie

Hi Lisa,
My three favorite hymns/songs are:
1. Trust and Obey - This is my goal as I serve the Lord and the song always encouraged me to stay on the right path.
2. The Husbandman - a song sung by Mark Webb, a friend of ours. It speaks of planting the seeds and then of the harvest, whether we are there are not it matters not. It reminds me so much of our job of parenting.
3. How Great Thou Art - I like this song because it is one of my husband's favorites and he loves to sing it.
I was considering purchasing that CD for Kathryn's birthday, which is coming up (our almost 17 year old daughter from China), but I keep forgetting to let her listen to the clips.

Hey SHeshe,
Let me send her one when the contest is over, 'kay? No drawing needed for Kathryn, though the drawing will still include your name... just tell her Happy Birthday from the Nunley's.
Much love,
Lisa

Lisa, that is so sweet of you! I am in the process of writing Kathryn's adoption story for her birthday, and it is so very dramatic. When some folks come to know the Lord it is a slow and steady journey (absolutely nothing wrong with that), but when God got a hold of her it was almost like a lightning bolt! Any time when I get discouraged regarding someone I am praying for, I remind myself of Kathryn's testimony and "from whence she came". She recently had a chance to call and talk to the orphanage director in China who was in charge of her orphanage. She actually apologized for her horrible behavior while she was there (truly, it was) and she told the director just WHY she had changed (not maturity, but Christ!). It made me cry to hear about the phone call.
Anyway, all of that to say, "Thanks"!
Blessings
Ramona

Three songs:
In Christ alone - newer praise song. Speaks to my heart when I sing it.
One Day - love this hymn. Has good theology, is fun, and I almost have it memorized. :)
and I"ll join with others in "how deep is the father's love". Good song. speaks to our relationship with God.
Thanks for the opportunity. :)
