Update
My parents are in town helping us get some of our home renovations done. Painting, putting on knobs and pulls, tiling, finishing up the decking. The electricians are hooking everything up this week, too. BUSY!
We have a lot going on around here and my 3 oldest start school at a classical Christian university-model trivium school in 20 days. I have home educated my children for 6 years. This school seems like the most ideal transition. They will attend classes 2 times a week and I will "guide" them through their assignments 3 times a week. Plus the school is practically out my front door.
Starting next week, I will be doing another give-away of a book on Proverbs 31. Excellent. Can't wait to share it with you.
Also, consider reading THIS.

My Husband, My brother in Christ

Lisa, your gift of John Ensor's book could not have come at a better time. The day after I got it, we had a perfect example of why some of our kids so desperately need to hear that message. One of our daughter (adopted from Vietnam at the age of 11) came home from work and asked us if she could go and "hang out" at a local park with some girls. We thought they were coworkers (she works at Chick Fil A) but we soon found out she had just met them and they were customers. She is very naive and easily flattered and they had told her lots of things about how pretty she was and they wished they were short like her, etc. She gave them her cell phone number and then wanted to go to the park with them the next day. (They told her what church they went to and it is one that has billboards that advertise, "God is not mad at you, NO MATTER WHAT!!")
More than anything, it was scary to realize how easily she would go with practical strangers, even at 16 years of age! She is very trusting and needs a reality check. Although these girls were probably fine, we did not allow her to go and insisted that she bring home any new friends she made who wanted her to go places with them. I am considering having a study with our girls on this book, and perhaps even more of the girls at church.
Thanks again!
Ramona
