What a MESS
I finally gained access to my e-mail account. I then checked my "sent" messages and found that someone had compromised my supposedly secure e-bay/ paypal account... which is how they gained access to my e-mail and my bank account. They tried to purchase 5 sony playstation 2's. I had to shut down my bank account and cut up my debit card. Thankfully my bank is top-notch.
I am also very thankful for my Blackberry. It is through my Blackberry phone e-mail service that I was alerted to the fact that someone had changed my e-mail password within minutes of it occurring.

Oh that's terrible! Are they going to be able to track them and prosecute?
I'm so sorry this happened to you. I hope this gets straightened out really fast!

Wow - it sure is good that you found this information out so quickly!! It is so frustrating when folks do things like this. Someone got our credit card number and charged monthly access to a website that I don't even feel comfortable mentioning on your nice, clean blog!!
Glad you got that straightened out quickly!
Blessings

E-bay is apparently on it... and my bank has been alerted so hopefully they will get it all figured out. It was time-consuming on a day that I was supposed to be teaching my children to prepare for their university-model school day. I had to stay up with my older 2 boys until 10pm getting school done. I have better things to do with my time, but then, my God is sovereign and allowed this for a reason. If anything, it was an opportunity to learn (once again, the hard way) to be more protective of my private info... even though I thought I was pretty conservative.
I had a wonderful morning this morning in spite of yesterdays ordeal. Spent the morning in prayer with other parents that attend that school. Very fruitful time that got my eyes off me (ick) and on my precious and faithful Lord.
