Lord, I Thank You
... for this season of rest from multiple sclerosis exacerbations.
That's right!!! I have only had minor annoying tidbits of MS stuff to deal with. It has been awhile since I have had to resort to a cane or a walker. As for the neurologist that said to prepare for a wheelchair, apparently God has other plans. The MS injections are even getting better. No more intense pain all over my body. The headaches and nausea are more manageable.
The most exciting thing for me is that I am working out again. Not only am I taking classes like "pump and jump" and "spinning", but I am even training my older 2 boys how to use free weights, circuit training, etc. I use to be a personal trainer and aerobic kickboxing instructor and now I get to use my experience in training my children. Though kickboxing may be a far-fetched goal... maybe I can even get my leg strength up enough to kick again????
The boys and I have even been playing racquetball together... and I am back taking guitar lessons alongside them with David Attebery. He comes to our home once a week to teach the boys. At first, I was taking lessons with them, but with the home renovations and physical challenges with the MS, I had to stop. I still have a bit of hand weakness and some tremors when I play, but last week was my first lesson back with the boys... and it felt GREAT!!!! Brandon does bass, Josh electric, and I do acoustic. As a family of 8, We have 5 more family members to add to the family band to become another "Partridge-type" family... except we jam to Christian music. :-D
Oh yes... racquetball... when I first taught my boys how to play, I beat them. Now, however, they tend to cream me. Aaaargh! :-/
I just want to thank you all for your prayers regarding the MS. Obviously God is answering. God-willing, the Lord will heal my body completely of it, but if in His sovereign will He chooses not to, even though I pray that He does and I know that He will heal me in His timing whether it be here on earth or when I am appointed to enter heaven and worship Him for eternity, I ALSO KNOW without a doubt that my God's purposes are good and I will rest in Him.

Hey Rachael... you have been on my mind a lot lately.
Thank you so much for your words of encouragement. YES! God is good... even in the midst of the storms of life... actually that is when His goodness shines more brightly and sadly, that is sometimes when my blinders can go on as I fail to remember that He is with me, upholding me.
In times of lean and times of plenty may we remember God's goodness... His faithfulness.
