My Husband, My brother in Christ

I especially enjoy writing about Biblical Womanhood as well as the application of Biblical theology from the perspective of a woman longing to communicate my love for who God is as revealed in His Word of knowable and applicable truth and NOT who I imagine He is from some sentimental, me-centered perspective that is based on relative, roller-coaster ride of self-sustained religion 'truth'. In other words, I like to encourage others to press on in His truth and His love for His glory.

But then, everything I have written has likely been said a whole lot better by someone else. I definitely have no insight that is deeper than what God has already revealed. Therefore, if you find anything of value here than give God the glory!

Our Boys First Mission Trip

... will likely be this summer with their father. It will be a medical mission trip probably to Guatemala. I contacted compassion International regarding the boys having the opportunity to meet the boy they sponsor that is from Guatemala. They said they would actually bring him to the location of the mission.

Please pray for my family. As a mother, I want to keep my children around me. As a wife, I want to selfishly have my husband home. But as a Christian that loves the Lord, I want to pray for them and send them off knowing that God is God no matter where they are.

I am so excited that we are taking the boys to the T4G conference this year; especially in light of them heading out on this mission trip.

I totally understand! My husband took my eldest son on a 2 week mission trip to the Philippines this past summer. It was an experience he'll never forget.

Our motherhearts do ache a bit when they are so far from home...and worry. But, now being on the other side of it, I can say it was absolutely worth every minute of my worry.

Below is a video testimony about how God saved our marriage after an 18 month separation, 5 years into our marriage. We had 2 children when we separated. We now have 6 children and have been married for... well, OH so much longer!!!... by the grace of our faithful Heavenly Father.
