An Award
It seriously blows my mind to think that people actually read my blog. I love to write and lately I have taken a bit of a break. I miss writing intensely, but have found the break necessary for several reasons. The main one being that my children have gone through waves of sickness and so have I. We are finally getting better.
Apparently, this has been one of the worst flu, pneumonia and bronchitis seasons in awhile. The doctors and hospitals have been overwhelmed with patients... even ones that took the flu shot. Schools have been hit pretty hard with absent students AND teachers. I think it is due to the psychotic weather fluctuations. Here in NW Arkansas, it will be snowing one day and then the next we will have pleasant spring-like weather. This has also contributed to unexpected early tornado activity in areas that have never had a tornado. We have a huge walk-out basement and tornado shelter so when a tornado seems impending we look forward to hanging out with several precious families in the neighborhood. We have given them access to our codes to get into the house if we are ever out of town and they need shelter.
Okay... so I started this post to tell you all that Ukrainiac has presented me with an award. I am both honored and flustered.

She wrote very kind words that made me cry... Lisa is passionate about her reformed faith and her posts reflect how her faith is practically applied to situations in her life. Very difficult ones, from time to time. She and her husband placed a video of their testimony in regards to how God saved their marriage. You will be blessed by this woman of God.
...and then linked to other blogs that she has chosen for the award that I look forward to reading. Now it is my turn to choose blogs that I believe are excellent.
You know, several people think blogs are a waste of time and just do not get it. Others are just readers that do not post, but find blogs to be an edifying read. And then there are those, like me, that enjoy writing from their heart about what the Lord is teaching them while occasionally posting random or silly things. The blog world is a real world. There are people on the end of those keys with a story. We all have a story. And I am so blessed by the ones that give God the glory no matter how hard and painful their story is. I am blessed by the ones that challenge me in my faith to dig deeper, to press on, to KNOW the God that sent His Son to die for sinners such as myself. I have learned so much in the 2 years that I have been blogging. It is much like journaling... but people all over the world have access to your journal. They challenge, they encourage, they pray, they sometimes do not like what you have written, and sometimes... sometimes the Lord uses the meager words of Christian bloggers to cause someone to grow in the likeness of Christ.
Here is a list of such bloggers for me that I believe should be rated "E" for excellent.
Tim
Jen
Brian
Girl Talk
Ukrainiac :-)
