My husband has been in surgery all morning with a boy that was hit by a CAR while we think he was waiting for his bus. (oops... I originally put that he was hit by a BUS while waiting for his bus) He has a ruptured spleen. Please pray for him, his family, the person that hit him, the school bus driver, the students, the surgical team.

Sometimes my husband will call me and tell me to pray for someone. He doesn't give me details about the patients, just a general overview like this. Sometimes we only find out the final outcome through the newspaper. Like this family of 3 that was hit by another car. The only survivor left in critical condition was their 18 month old. Their child was the only one wearing his seatbelt. For awhile we did not know if he survived because the hospital my husband works at determined that he should be air-lifted to Children's hospital. The child did survive and is now being raised by other family members.
It is tough for my husband to witness things like that. He is a Christian man that sees things with a different perspective and he cannot "professionally" remove himself from these patients. They are people formed in the image of God. I am thankful for a Godly husband that allows me into his hospital world for the purpose of partnering with him in prayer.
