My Husband, My brother in Christ

I especially enjoy writing about Biblical Womanhood as well as the application of Biblical theology from the perspective of a woman longing to communicate my love for who God is as revealed in His Word of knowable and applicable truth and NOT who I imagine He is from some sentimental, me-centered perspective that is based on relative, roller-coaster ride of self-sustained religion 'truth'. In other words, I like to encourage others to press on in His truth and His love for His glory.

But then, everything I have written has likely been said a whole lot better by someone else. I definitely have no insight that is deeper than what God has already revealed. Therefore, if you find anything of value here than give God the glory!

A Godly Husband... A Rare Gem

The more opportunities I have had to minister to women, the more I realize what a rare gem my husband is. A man that diligently seeks to revere God in his life, his words, his thoughts, his actions... He truly is a man after God's own heart. Perfect? no. But he is the head of our home. A loving and humble leader that loves me not only sentimentally, but Scripturally, as in, rooted in God's commands. That comes in handy when I am not having a very good day, for he is able to patiently forebear my behaviour, love me in spite of my deficiencies and give me the benefit of the doubt as he encourages me Biblically.
My husband's love involves grace and mercy. He is kind and forgiving and I know that he loves me. How? Because his actions display his love and so do his words. His love for me is intense, but even more so, his love for our Heavenly Father shines through with even more intensity. He is a loving humble, servant leader. A man that I call my best friend, my brother in Christ, my hero of faith.
I choose not to harp on my husband's imperfections but to devote my thoughts to what it is about him that I dearly love. Has our marriage life always been this way? no. Even after much initial turmoil in our marriage, it was the day we both made a commitment to God's perspective on marriage and the commitment to diligently pray for one another that began our journey leading to a beautiful, God-honoring marriage.

Below is a video testimony about how God saved our marriage after an 18 month separation, 5 years into our marriage. We had 2 children when we separated. We now have 6 children and have been married for... well, OH so much longer!!!... by the grace of our faithful Heavenly Father.
