What's on the cooker...
This is an exciting time... a bit of a whirlwind. LOTS going on. The boys had a magnificent first concert this past Sunday evening. They also just about finished up their media project for Latin class. Today is grandparents Day at their school so Gramma and Aunt Delores are here to visit. Pa-pa is a surgeon in Oklahoma with a full load to do, though he longs to be here. My parents are in California right now sending e-mails to the kids periodically. My dad sends really funny stories about his childhood or experiences as an Air Force officer, so the kids always look forward to reading his e-mails. Plus he sends them jokes and quips.
Tonight is awards and graduation night. Busy day.
Then the big concert is next week where the boys will be performing outside for their school. They are excited and nervous, but practicing diligently! Please pray for them.
I LOVE being a mom! I could not imagine missing out on all these things along with the excitement of taking part in their education.... especially when they have struggled over something and then it CLICKS!
I love that I have a husband that fully supports me as a wife and mother AND especially that he encourages me in the Lord.
I love that I have godly in-laws that are an immense joy to be around... and my dad and his wife that enjoy every moment of their life as they serve the Lord fervently together.
I am blown away by the over-flowing, undeserved blessings from my Heavenly Father... the friendships that the Lord has provided us.
Praise the LORD, O my soul. O LORD my God, you are very great; you are clothed with splendor and majesty. He wraps himself in light as with a garment;he stretches out the heavens like a tent and lays the beams of his upper chambers on their waters. He makes the clouds his chariot and rides on the wings of the wind.--Ps.104:1-3
Blessed are the Peacemakers is the sermon I was blessed to hear this past Sunday from Pastor Chris Taylor at Legacy Baptist Church.

My Husband, My brother in Christ

It's a joy to read your posts about your family. You really are blessed...and are a blessing! (I'm thinking we may just be married to the two best men on the planet!)

Wow! Busy, busy, busy! But it sounds like a good kind of busy.
And count me in on that 'married to the best men on the planet' thing! :)
