Jen over at JoyThruChrist tagged me for a meme. Reading Jen's blog is always a joy. She's funny and thinks deeply about the things of God. She is also really fun to talk with on the phone. Very encouraging gal that loves the Lord!
So... What was I doing 10 years ago?
I was separated from my husband... and 9 years ago, after an almost year and a half separation, we got back together. By the grace of God alone, our marriage is not only restored, but my husband has become my hero of faith. (see the side-bar to view a video of our marriage testimony)

Things I Would Do If I Were A Billionaire:
I have no clue how to answer this, but I do hope that I live out and keep to heart the following Scriptures:
1. Proverbs 11:28 Whoever trusts in his riches will fall, but the righteous will thrive like a green leaf.
2. Proverbs 22:1 A good name is more desirable than great riches; to be esteemed is better than silver or gold.
3. Jeremiah 9:23, 24 This is what the LORD says: "Let not the wise man boast of his wisdom or the strong man boast of his strength or the rich man boast of his riches, but let him who boasts boast about this: that he understands and knows me, that I am the LORD, who exercises kindness, justice and righteousness on earth, for in these I delight," declares the LORD.
4. Ephesians 2:6-8 And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus. For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—
5. 1 Timothy 6:17 Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment.

Five Random Things (most people wouldn't know about me):
1. I use to run the 800 in school (a long time ago) and I would throw up every time I finished. It was like sprinting a mile.
2. When reflecting on my "teen" years, I am still amazed that I am alive and even more amazed that I am who I am now and that I have 6 precious children. God's transforming power is obviously vast.
3. My father called me one day after witnessing much heart-ache and rebellion in my life and asked me if I wanted to go to a university. I had been attending a community college in Dallas. I said "sure". He said the only one he would pay for was John Brown University. I went to this Christian University with fire-insurance "salvation". I was so lost and scared to be at that university. Most of my clothes had been stolen out of my car, so I came with hardly anything. The Bible classes were difficult for me, but I still made A's and B's... which goes to show the difference between head knowledge and heart knowledge.
4. My father paid for the first year at JBU. After that, he had some unexpected expenses, so I had to make a decision as to how I would make it through on my own. So I worked my way through. It was tough and I had very little money. My first job there was mowing the JBU campus on a tractor. My second job was as a graphic design intern at Dayspring Greeting Cards.
5. I married my husband with 9 hours of school left before I could officially graduate. One of the professors told me that I would never finish. I finished.

Thanks for playing! :)
Great scriptures on the billionaire question. I just answered it from the perspective it was asked in that I would want to be pleasing to the Lord if entrusted with earthly wealth. I would want to be a good steward.
I just hope He never entrusts me with something like that. It seems an awesome and terrible responsibility.
And hey! I could use a fitness trainer. How 'bout you come here and train me, and we can get hold of some coffee and chocolate too. LOL

Yes, we could start our training at Starbucks and then jog over to your house and scarf down some chocolate! :-D
