Political Kittens...
Little Mary Pat had a box of very small kittens that she was trying to give away, so she had them out on the street corner with a sign 'FREE KITTENS' next to them. Suddenly a big line of big black cars came up with a policeman on a motorcycle in front.
The cars all stopped and a tall man stepped out from the biggest car. It's Senator Obama. 'Hi, little girl, what do you have there in the box?' he asked.
'Kittens' Little Mary Pat says. 'They're so small, their eyes are not even open yet.'
'What kind of kittens are they?' he asked.
'Democrats' says Little Mary Pat.
The tall man smiled, returned to his car and they drove away. Sensing a good photo opportunity, Sen. Obama called his campaign manager and told him about the little girl and the kittens. It was planned that they would return the next day, have all the media there and tell everyone about these great kittens.
The next day, Little Mary Pat is standing out on the corner with her box of kittens with the 'FREE KITTENS' sign and the big motorcade of black cars pulled up with all the vans and trucks from ABC, NBC, CBS, BET and CNN but no FOX for some reason.
Everyone had their cameras ready and then, Sen. Obama got out of his limo and walked up to Little Mary Pat. 'Now, don't be frightened,' he said, 'I just want you to tell all these nice news people just what kind of kittens you're giving away today.'
'Yes sir,' Mary Pat said, 'They are all REPUBLICAN kittens.'
Taken by surprise, Sen. Obama said, 'But yesterday, you told me that they were DEMOCRATS.'
Little Mary Pat says, 'Yes, I know. But today, they have their eyes open.'
LET'S HOPE AMERICA OPENS THEIR EYES BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE!

And all through the town
Tempers were flaring
Emotions all up and down!
I, in my bathrobe
With a cat in my lap
Had cut off the TV
Tired of political crap.
When all of a sudden
There arose such a noise
I peered out of my window
Saw Obama and his boys.
They had come for my wallet
They wanted my pay
To give to the others
Who had not worked a day!
He snatched up my money
And quick as a wink
Jumped back on his bandwagon
As I stood by the sink.
He then rallied his henchmen
Who were pulling his cart
I could tell they were out
To tear my country apart!
"On Fannie, on Freddie,
On Biden and Ayers!
On Acorn, On Pelosi"
He screamed at the pairs!
They took off for his cause
And as he flew out of sight
I heard him laugh at the nation
Who wouldn't stand up and fight!
So I leave you to think

Ronald Reagan on Abortion and the Conscience of a Nation
Ronald Reagan published a booklet during an election year called "Abortion and the Conscience of a Nation."
This was considered political suicide... and yet, he was re-elected.
In this book, Reagan wrote, "We cannot diminish the value of one category of human life --the unborn-- without diminshing the value of all human life." Reagan also stated that abortion is the "greatest moral crisis facing our country today... it is not for us to decide who is worthy to live and who is not."
Home Educators, are you really ready if Obama is elected?
Unlike McCain, Obama's site makes no mention of home education. However, here is what is available on his site regarding education reform. For those home educators that do not have a teaching certification, you may want to start preparing your children for the strong possibility of being forced into the public school environment, until you can obtain one, if Obama is elected. For those that are already accredited, you may need to start collecting substantial evidence of what and how you teach and be prepared for close evaluation and government intervention.
On the Obama site: "Obama and Biden will require all schools of education to be accredited. Obama and Biden will also create a voluntary national performance assessment so we can be sure that every new educator is trained and ready to walk into the classroom and start teaching effectively."Under Obama's Education reform and prek-12 Education facts: "...Their vision for a 21st century education begins with demanding more reform and accountability...Most professions besides teaching require preparation programs to be accredited, and use the accrediting process to leverage quality. Professional accreditation in teaching is voluntary in most states, so there is no guarantee of quality. Barack Obama and Joe Biden will change this by requiring professional accreditation of all programs preparing teachers, with a focus on evidence regarding how well teachers are prepared. In order to help identify the most successful programs, colleges of education and alternative licensure programs will track their graduates' entry and retention in teaching and their contributions to growth in student learning.
